Why Fresh Breeze?

Fresh Breeze is Proven Performance, Quality and Value - German engineering at it's best.

When buying a powered paraglider, ask these questions - How long has the company designing and producing the power pack been in business? Has the product range been tested through time? Will the company be there to back the unit up for warranty and parts when you need it? Look carefully - there have been many 'Fly By Night' operations that are no longer supporting their motors!

It is not unusual for a new motor to hit the market with a big splash of promotion, sell a lot of units during the excitement of it's initial offering and then disappear because of mechanical/structural problems the company was unwilling or unprepared to address, thus leaving the new owners with no customer support. Customer support is what will make flying your motor great, not just the day you take the motor out of the box, but years down the line.

One way to discover how well the motor unit you are considering will be supported is to look at the owner's manual. Fresh Breeze Owner's Manuals can be downloaded from each of our pages above. A thorough owner's manual will give you the confidence that the manufacturer has moved beyond the initial conceptual phase and has gone to a lot of effort to troubleshoot the motor and present the important details to new owners. An owner's manual that shows little more than pulling the starter rope and some tips about flying should be highly suspect.

First of all, learning to fly should always be done under the guidance of a Certified USPPA or USHGA Instructor like those at AMERICAN PARAGLIDING. Do not risk your life learning how to paramotor from the sketchy details of a manual. Focusing on flying is an easy distraction technique on the manufacturer's part; a lot easier than putting the hard work into thoroughly testing and then sharing the details of their motor and how to operate and care for the motor over the long term.

A quality manual should include information about assembly, operation and maintenance. It needs to cover technical data, electrical system, fuel recommendations, carburetor adjustments, engine repair, gearbox, ignition, exaust, throttle, propeller and prop repair, harness hookup, and a motor preflight and periodic checklist.

Another thing to consider is that searching for a motor by price alone can be the most expensive mistake you'll ever make. More important is proven quality, customer support and excellent training.

Fresh Breeze has been making their powered paraglider motor units for fifteen years! Due to the rigid certification procedures that exist in Germany, where they are made, their products can be accepted and enjoyed all over the world. The US importer is an exceptional Fresh Breeze mechanic, and stocks all parts for immediate delivery.

Since 1990, the Fresh Breeze Team has been continuously designing and producing its range of Powered Paragliders. Their impressive product range continues to expand on a regular basis.

The frame is all formed with complex bends and a stout but lightweight 3/4 inch aircraft aluminum, precision welded in a jig fixture, then powdercoated. Compare the frame. The propguard is of the same quality - protects the prop (and the pilot) and has internal netting so no lines can snag.

The propeller is a lightweight, durable 2 part composite prop, 3 times as expensive to make than a wood prop and much longer lasting with much less mass and less vibration. A lighter propeller also allows you to access the power quicker when launching, just when you need it!.

The low noise level is remarkable and a result of all the (quiet) components located out of the arc of the prop. This is why the tuned pipe is wrapped tightly around the engine and the tank is close to the center.

The harness is sewn to DHV specs and load tested. So are all suspension components. The carabiners are stainless steel. Some manufacturers still deliver their harnesses with aluminum biners. This harness can also be used to practice kiting your wing - no need to buy a seperate practice harness!

The fuel tank is purpose molded double thickness for Fresh Breeze. The fuel tank is located above the engine for a no fuss, no prime start. This also adds safety as a low mounted gas tank could rupture in a crash landing. There is NO increased fire danger with a high mounted gas tank as any fuel leaking is immediately vaporized and blown out the back by the prop if the engine is running. An open spark would be needed for ignition.

The Fresh Breeze series of powered paraglider motors are the quietest, most powerful and easiest starting paramotors available today, with the best power to weight ratio. Fresh Breeze motors also feature a soft J-bar suspension system with a quick release that allows both a excellent feel for your paraglider and a emergency motor jettison feature for even more enhanced security in flight. The Fresh Breeze motors come in many sizes which will fly ANY size pilot up to 400 lbs.

This is the only paramotor certified by the
German DULV (ultralight association)!
